Check-In

This is the ground floor entry to the Government Building and the only entrance and exit, save for the second floor door that leads to the roof of the building. There is a secretary seated behind a desk that is present to check all entrants in and notify personnel of their arrival. People that enter the Government Building are required to pass this point first and await permission to progress any further.

With steps as quiet as the night, Kazuya descended the many steps from the second story hallway, where he'd just left his office after finishing a discouragingly large pile of paperwork. He was eager to get out into the village after spending so many hours at his desk, and though his reason for leaving was more business, it was personal and, most importantly, it didn't involve paperwork. He waved the secretary a brisk goodbye as he stepped through the door and went about his way towards the many markets lining the main street of the village.

[Exit -> General Store]

The door slowly creaked open, letting in small rays of the evening sun as Kazuya tried as best he could to quietly sneak up to his office without anyone noticing. He'd been gone for a while now, and work was sure to have piled up. Though he was appreciative of the dedicated nature of his secretary, she was sometimes a little too dedicated, and was unafraid to chew out the village leader whenever he appeared to be shirking his duties. He took one peek inside and she was already staring at him with a building red on her face like she was about to explode. "Well look who decided to show up!" She shouted as she stood, starting a berating that lasted well over half an hour as Kazuya silently tried to creep upstairs, unable to get a single word in.

[Exit -> Hokage's Office]

Normally, Kazuya rushed through this room one way or the other, too busy or tired to give much more than a courteous wave towards the building's secretary, but this time, he stopped half way to the exit and looked over. "Any word on the whereabouts of Tsuyo Hyuga and Fenrir Uchiha?
" She looked up and blinked away an expression of shock that he actually had the time and where-with-all to speak before nodding and scribbling down some directions on a sheet of paper. "If they're not in the first location, just check the next, and so on down the list. You'll run into them at some point." She said, handing a small paper to the Hokage. He sighed, looking at the locations. Those were some busy Jounin he had.

[Exit]

A surprisingly reassuring creak behind the front door to the Government Building stirred a feeling of reminiscence in the Hokage as he stepped through a place he'd not been in quite some time. His shoes and garb looked entirely new and just as pristine was his haori bearing the title of First Hokage on the back. His previous set had been with completely out -nearly to the point of falling apart- during his time away, so he stopped by his now dusty residence and picked up a new set before returning to duty. He had pondered whether to even don the Hokage robes, thinking that surely the village had elected Fenrir, Tsuyo, or some other candidate to take his place in lieu of his sudden and unexplained absence. The look his keen eyes read on the secretary's face told him that perhaps things had not gone so smoothly. She was surprised, but moreso relieved, and that troubled him.

"So, what's happened while I've been away?" He asked, straight to the point and without any indication of explaining where on Earth he'd been.

"Um, yes, okay...I'll catch you up." Replied the woman as she swallowed her questions and rose from the desk to follow him into the Hokage Office.
