Clan History/Description
The Sage had a son.
Long before the clans sired by Hamura Otsutsuki engaged in ceaseless war, there were the tribes of man. These groups of people committed acts as heinous as would later develop during the era of warring clans. They were all of them in a state of turmoil and conflict. The advent of Kaguya Otsutsuki and her children quelled this turmoil for a time, due in no small part to the efforts of her eldest: Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Hagoromo grew up knowing only the tranquility of his home -a tranquility bequeathed by the conquest of his all-powerful mother. Kaguya was not to stay long, unfortunately, and upon her departure, the tribes returned to war. Her two sons worked in unison to bring harmony to the world and though they inevitably succeeded, it was not without loss and not without bearing witness to the atrocities of man.
It was during this time, before Hagoromo achieved divinity and well before his faith in mankind had peaked, that the future Sage of the Six Paths used his powerful Doujutsu to create life. It is oft thought that the first and only use of the Creation of All Things Technique was in the birth of the Tailed Beasts. However, the conceptualization of this almighty jutsu was born of a need to secure peace in a much more forceful manner than he would later adopt. Rather than spread a message of peace with the power of chakra, Hagoromo sought to gift permanence to the peace he and his brother had worked so hard to achieve. The only conceivable method for such a thing, he thought, was to immortalize his ideals within a being created purely by his idealistic thoughts. This being would be incorruptible, he reasoned, because it bore none of the inherently flawed aspects driven into humanity from the point of conception.
So it was that, with this new technique, the Sage of the Six Paths gave form to his ideals and created life.
This new creation took the form of a cocoon which housed Hagoromo’s then-prized progeny. The Sage nurtured it daily, feeding it his thoughts and aspirations. Day after day for years on end, he would nurture this new life until eventually, he stopped. The cocoon sat alone, feeding from the natural energy of the world to grow and become whole. All the while, Hagoromo had forsaken it in his efforts to redeem humanity through his newfound way of life that he called Ninshu. With age came hope for the Sage, a hope he placed in humanity that, by affording them the power of free choice and limitless potential for good, they would be redeemed all on their own. He discovered that good without choice was not good at all, that to impose upon them his ideals by force, he would be the very evil that he had sought to destroy.
No longer feeding from the nurturing of its father and fully composed by the power of nature, the cocoon burst forth and birthed a being neither male nor female. For while it appeared as human, it was not. This creature had endured decades of isolation with only the memories of its father’s teachings to hold sanity to its mind. So once it was upon the world, it sought to enact the change for which it was created. By this time, the Sage of the Six Paths had left this world in the hands of his faithful disciples, who followed strictly to the teachings of Ninshu, a way of life that this new being was entire unfamiliar with.
The world this creature found itself in was very different from what it had imagined within the confines of its much smaller egg. Conflict was much less prevalent than was told it by its father. The disciples, it appeared, had managed to maintain the peace left them by their master. And so the creature waited. As a being of natural power, with life force crafted by a god and fed by the very universe itself, time was no issue at all. With this time, the creature waited and watched. In secret and far from the reach of man, it observed the fall of the Sage’s new legacy with the death of his loyal disciples.
The world fell into turmoil just as before. Only now, man had the power of chakra to fuel their destructive tendencies. The creature was dismayed at the carnage, but pleased in knowing that this was finally its time. It was time to fulfill the Sage’s true legacy. In order to accomplish this, the creature needed a more human form. And so it took it, assimilating the body of a young human male. It is for this reason that the new life is oft referred to as the Son of the Sage of the Six Paths.
With this new body, the Son mingled with humanity. He blended in with them, ate with them, spoke with them, reveled with them. When the time came, however, he warred with them. The humans invariably engaged in combat with each other over the smallest of causes. The Son was baffled by their foolishness and sought to use his power to bring about an end to the conflict, as his father once had. Unfortunately, his power was raw with the void left by his father that should have been filled with dedicated training. Though this power was great, it was no match for the refined abilities possessed by those the Sage had so foolishly blessed with the gift of chakra.
The Son could not simply seek training from humans, for his power was unlike theirs in every way. Instead, he chose to simply use their own power against them. This is the point that the Assimilation Technique was truly born, the day when the Son seized a unique opportunity in a battle involving the Hyuga Clan. His was a side destined to lose, a tribe of no particular name with barely any affinity for chakra and absolutely no training in how to use it. Against the emerging empire of the Hyuga, they were outmatched. Despite this, the Son managed to best just one of the Hyuga and activated his new technique to take unto himself the form and power of that Hyuga. He joined the clan, climbed through the ranks, and received the training he so desperately needed. He had become Futoshi Hyuga.
Futoshi was once an average child in the Hyuga Clan. He was of no importance, being born to a lesser family not of the main branch. However, after one particular battle, he had suddenly been gifted an ambition like no other in the clan. He proved to be dedicated to such a degree that he was able to reach points where even talent dared not go. Though of a lesser branch, he was a mighty warrior and he was utilized well by the clan until the day of his death. The body never could be recovered.
Beyond this simple paragraph written in the Hyuga history, lost and forgotten, was the true story of Futoshi as the progenitor of an entirely new breed. It was during his time within the ranks of the Hyuga that Futoshi learned of the importance of large numbers. Alone, humans were nothing. But together, even their meager power could not be challenged. In order to truly affect change upon the world, Futoshi needed more like him. Unfortunately, he was not gifted as was his father. He could not simply wish entities into being with a thought. He had to be more creative. It was then that Futoshi began crafting the Reincarnation Technique. This jutsu, he devised, would make it so that he could use his own endless life force to produce progeny of his own that, in time, would grow in number and in strength to aid in his fight to bring peace to the human race by force.
The impact of trading one’s life force in exchange for a new being was greater than Futoshi foresaw. Long ago had he forsaken the form of a Hyuga and moved on to other clans and other wars. It reached a point that he began to feel the age of all of it. There was a time when he could press on without concern, wait decades for the smallest detail in his many plots to come to fruition. Now, there was a weight on him that grew larger with every passing year. Eventually, he was brought to death’s gate by mere old age.
His own progeny had become quite prominent in the meantime. Rather than take interest in the Land of Fire, where its own father would continue working for what it thought would be millennia, the second child travelled to the Land of Water where it became Akari Hozuki. The first true Daughter of the Sage continued to influence the people around her, as her own father had and as originally willed by her grandfather, until she, too, thought it time to expand by creating her own progeny. It was a tragedy that she died never knowing the fate of her father until she, too, breathed her last.
Many years passed before the side effect of the Reincarnation Technique became known to what had become a full clan of descendants. They worked so oft in isolation that they would never see even their creator within decades. Finally, they grew so great in number that working in pairs and groups was viable while still reaching out to the entire known world.
The Ancients, as they became known in legend, continued to masquerade as others and with their secret power influenced the direction of clans as best they could to achieve peace. All too often, their efforts led to greater wars and astronomically intense battles that decimated entire populations. But eventually, they had achieved a peace, of sorts. Though the formation of villages is not their end goal, it is the single largest step in that direction that has ever been taken by mankind.
Clan/Bloodline Traits & Characteristics
The Children of Sage are created solely by use of the Reincarnation Technique and because of this are considerably different than any human. Their conception begins with the creation of their life in the form of energy contained within a small cocoon. This cocoon grows larger as natural energy is absorbed, giving the child form and imbuing it with greater life energy than what created it. It is during this gestation period that the child is susceptible to the influence of surrounding thought. For this reason, The Ancients consider this the most vital point in their progeny’s life and will actively secure the cocoons far from those with negative thoughts. Human corruption is the greatest fear in all of this.
Because of key differences in the creation process, Children of the Sage are born very differently. First, they are born without gender and with no signs of having been nurtured through pregnancy, such as a belly button. Their features are most often flawless due to the lack of genetics at play and may emerge at virtually any point of physical development. The natural energy that feeds them through the process can have a great variety of effect on the Child’s beginning form based on the volume that was absorbed. Over time, Children of the Sage can still grow, with no known limit to the possible changes. Some are able to grow exceedingly tall, while others become shorter. Some gestated in the wild have even been known to bear animalistic traits.
The thoughts and beliefs of these new creations are greatly influenced by those of the one that created them in conjunction with the thoughts they were able to absorb during the gestation period. This is why it is so important to the Ancients that their progeny be far away from the reach of humanity. Once they are in the world, however, their thoughts are fully their own and may be malleable. However, most Children spend years with the same thoughts, ideals, and beliefs. This can make them excessively stubborn and ill suited for change.
The ideals that inhabit most Children are those of the very first of their line: Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Unlike the teachings of Ninshu and the Disciples, however, these ideals predate the peaceful, wise, and understanding Rikudo Sennin. Instead, they are the ideals held by a much younger, more ambitious, and more forceful Sage. If a Child is created correctly, it will carry these same ideals and be hardened enough in them to never falter, regardless of circumstance.
Once a Child is born, it is typically nurtured by its creator until a point of self sufficiency is achieved. From there, the Child will be guided into taking its first form. This is a rudimentary application of the Assimilation Technique which adopts only physical form, without concern over bloodline or ability. From there, the Child will create or assume an identity and integrate with humanity, where it will develop its abilities within the form of a human and attempt to rise into a state of influence. Once it possesses influence, the Child will work with others like it throughout the world to inflict the kinds of changes sought by the young Hagoromo.
Though they work most often alone, Ancients bear a powerful loyalty to each other and to their leader. This, to them, is one of many traits which make them superior to humans. Among them is their affinity for natural energy, which comprises half of their physical and mental energies and affords them the power to survive without nourishment. They can potentially live indefinitely, were it not for the side effects of the Reincarnation Technique. Another side effect of natural sustenance is their fair and beautiful appearance. In their true form, Ancients appear as angels, with colors and traits that are as varied and vibrant as nature itself, yet in every individual, perfect in every conceivable way.
Bloodline Description & Abilities
Because the Ancients have lived in secret and rarely in congregation, they have developed names for neither themselves or their abilities. Those few people in history, lost now to time, that have glimpsed in passing and survived long enough to scribble some ambiguous note that made its way into some clan’s historic passages without drawing attention referred to them as The Ancients. Their powers, then, are called Ancient Power. This is a designation known to very, very few in this world, for the first of the Ancient Powers is anonymity. Only those of S-Rank Intelligence have heard a passing breath of this group of people, and may become aware of their presence given more pieces to the puzzle. This is both a blessing and a curse, however, because while none may be aware of the Ancient Powers to counter them, none also may be made aware by use of the Ancient Power. That is the restriction placed upon The Ancients: use only what power is necessary and erase all traces left in your wake. For none may know the glory of what is to come.
The second of the Ancient Powers comes only to those choosing to specialize in its use. This is natural power. All Ancients are inherently born of Nature Chakra and because of this, the energies comprising their bodies are themselves comprised by half of the Sage’s chakra and half of Nature Chakra. The former portion of this is the third Ancient Power, while the latter is expanded upon here. This composition provides a unique benefit to any who choose to walk the paths of Ninjutsu or Fuuinjutsu. In the case of the former, all chakra-based techniques are inherently greater in power when comprised of the potent chakra of The Ancients. These techniques are treated as though they are one rank higher when compared to equal and lower ranking techniques, yet remain unchanged when compared to higher ranking techniques. This is because while the power is greater, it is not so great as to affect change upon a technique that much greater. This is an ability similar to the technique enhancement of Sages, yet to a lesser degree, and can never be used in conjunction with it.
The latter of those specializations is Juuinjutsu. A natural affinity for nature affords those with the capacity for Fuuinjutsu to make use of unique techniques developed by earlier Ancients. These beings managed to combine their knowledge and power of nature with the sealing arts to create two old and powerful curses: The Curse of Undoing and The Curse of Recompense. These ancient techniques utilize the inherent traits of both energies of nature and the original chakra to achieve effects worthy of their names.
A larger aspect of the Sage’s Chakra within the Ancients is beyond mere techniques and is the third Ancient Power. This is the origin point of the Assimilation technique, which uses the Ancients’ command over the Sage’s Chakra and the bond which that chakra holds over all that come after it. This bond allows the adoption of all other chakras, regardless of types and mutations, because it is the only thing in common among all of them. The command, then, allows The Ancients to call upon that chakra and bring it unto themselves, forming the basis of the technique.
Beyond Assimilation, the Sage’s Chakra also affords abilities related to its class as the very first generation of natural born chakra. Not only because Hagoromo was the last Jinchuuriki of the Juubi, but also because he was the first child born of a Juubi Jinchuuriki, he holds a unique power known as the Six Paths which, when combined with Nature Chakra, forms Six Paths Senjutsu. This special brand of Senjutsu allows a person to enter into the Six Paths Sage Mode. While The Ancients are neither Juubi Jinchuuriki nor Sages, they have the powers of both, and are able to access Six Paths Sage Mode in an undeveloped state. This can also afford access to a weaker variation of the Truth-Seeker Orbs, which are normally trademark of the Juubi’s Jinchuuriki or one trained in the use of Six Paths Senjutsu.
These three Ancient Powers come naturally to all of The Ancients and Children of the Sage and are categorized in the techniques listed at the bottom of this page. For specific details on these powers, their strengths, weaknesses, side effects, and methods to use them, see the techniques below.
Bloodline Limits & Drawbacks
The greatest drawback to The Ancients is the separation they suffered from their father. Hagoromo continued to grow and learn. He became better for it and wiser. However, he was never able to share that wisdom with his offspring, leading to many lives devoted to a cause in direct opposition to his will, all the while believing that they are, in fact, the only driving force to enacting his will. The greatest danger to an Ancient is the revelation of this truth. In some, it may lead to a complete paradigm shift. In others, it will have no effect, for they will believe that theirs is the correct path. While the results may differ individually, it will lead to a great conflict within the clan.
Physical limitations are fairly limited with Ancients. They are able to potentially survive indefinitely, and still several centuries with few uses of the Reincarnation Technique. Their physiology is slightly differed from humans, though not so much to consider them any more an outcast than an Otsutsuki. Still, their existence is best kept secret, which means access to their powers may be limited. While an Ancient is using a form brought about by the Assimilation Technique, it will be entirely incapable of using any of the abilities listed on this registration. Even their chakra takes on the form of the assimilated, which may to some seem perfect, but can be very limiting.
An unfortunate side effect to using Assimilation comes with the physiology of humans. While in their true forms, Ancients understand nothing of the emotions and frailty of humans. While Assimilated, however, they gain genders, which come with specific hormones and attractions. They gain emotions and can truly comprehend the idea behind love. Some Ancients have been captivated by these feelings and choose to remain Assimilated, walking in the form of humans, for the entirety of their indefinite lives.
As an aside, the reproductive habits of The Ancients change while Assimilated. They are unable to create offspring with the Reincarnation Technique, unless resuming their true forms, but may still procreate the natural way. Doing so creates a child born with the genetics of the Ancient’s Assimilated Form and the Ancient’s partner. It will not create a hybrid Ancient, for the only way to create an Ancient is through the Reincarnation Technique.
There is currently no known way to implant the Ancient Powers. It is theoretically possible, but will require a host capable of surviving nature chakra who is then drained of all energy and replenished half with the Sage Chakra of an Ancient and half with Nature Chakra. They will then require a method for regenerating both the Sage and Nature Chakra within them or otherwise will simply die of drained reserves.
It is equally difficult to implant other bloodlines into an Ancient. The inherent chakra of a bloodline, while wholly compatible with the chakra of an Ancient, corrupts the system of an Ancient to the point that the Ancient Powers become unusable. This is undone by way of the Cleanse Technique, just as Assimilation is undone, making implants only temporary and very nearly useless.
Restricted Interactions:
Cursed Seals – These are ineffective in bending the Ancient to anyone’s will. Because Ancients are natural users of Nature Chakra, they are not mentally affected by its presence and are not tempted by its power. They are unable to activate the Ancient Six Paths Sage Mode or Chakra Potency while a Cursed Seal is active. Note that this is for Cursed Seals affected by the Restricted Rules only. Typical Juuinjutsu do not enforce these effects on The Ancients.
Sage Mode – Due to the natural proclivities of The Ancients towards Nature Chakra, as well as having their own variation of a Sage Mode, they can only use a Restricted Sage Mode while in an Assimilated Form. Therefore, they will have access to none of their normal techniques and abilities listed on this page while Sage Mode is active. Because their chakra composition perfectly mimics the target of Assimilation, there are no effects on Sage Mode’s limits due to the nature chakra possessed by Ancients, since they have no access to it while in an Assimilated Form anyway.
Bijuu – The Sage’s Chakra within Ancients affords a small measure of manipulation over the Bijuu. Ancients are able to telepathically commune with Bijuu that are in the same topic. Note that this only applies to Bijuu that are free or in control over their Jinchuuriki. This cannot commune with Bijuu that are locked within Jinchuuriki and not in control, as the Bijuu Telepathy Technique could. Secondly, Ancients can assert the dominance of Hagoromo’s Chakra once per topic. This suppresses the Bijuu’s power for precisely one post, causing paralysis in the Bijuu and preventing it from accessing its chakra. This is rarely sufficient time for a full sealing ritual and is mostly useful only in ensuring a single attack lands or sealing an already weakened Bijuu. As Jinchuuriki, Ancients can use this ability to force their Bijuu’s chakra to immediately recede, negating any related effects, such as stat reductions or seal burning.
Dual KKG – This cannot be used with the Ancient Power.

Description: The Assimilation Technique is the true key to The Ancients’ millennia of secrecy. It allows a clan of highly unusual individuals to blend flawlessly with the rest of any populace. This secrecy is actually the reason that it is labeled a Kinjutsu by the clan. To use this technique in the open, where others may see, is strictly forbidden, as it may expose the clan to the world.
There are two aspects of this technique. The first is a rudimentary version that is usable by even a fresh Child of the Sage which allows for Assimilation of the physical aspects of any chakra-bearing human. These can be generic NPCs, even ones created by the player, but are unable to copy any other aspect of the target. The process begins by utilizing the chakra of the Sage, which all Ancients possess, to reach out and link to the chakra of the target. The target, in the case of this technique, is a recently deceased human which bears chakra descending from the Sage of the Six Paths. Once the user's chakra is linked, the chakra and essence of the target can then be drawn to the user in its entirety and absorbed. This reduces the target to dust, while transmitting all physical aspects of the target to the user. If the user chooses, certain physical aspects can simply not be adopted. Unchosen physical traits will simply fly from the user as dust in the wind. This version is automatically known by all Children of the Sage.
The true version is similar and holds the actual power designated by the technique, but is only usable on PC and Unique NPC targets Note that this specifically excludes generic and registered non-Unique NPCs. The process for this version is performed in precisely the same way as the lesser aspect, but with the additional option of assimilating the target’s bloodline.
Weaknesses: Using this technique gives an Ancient the perfect method for infiltration, for it cannot be differentiated from the target after completion. This also has potentially negative implications. The user will be unable to use any of the techniques or abilities of The Ancients, including this technique, for as long as the Assimilation is active. This is because the chakra of the target is mimicked without fallacy, temporarily replacing the Sage's and Nature Chakras present in the user. It is important to note that this techniques only assimilates the bloodline and not any progress made in it. Even if the target was a master of his kekkei genkai, the user that assimilates him will not even have it unlocked. The user can progress in the bloodline as normal, but regardless of former progress, will restart every time that bloodline is assimilated.

Description: The Cleanse is a technique that allows Ancients to assume their true form. By pressing both hands together and banishing from themselves all foreign entities, the assimilated form is cast off as dust, revealing the user’s natural appearance underneath. This removes the limitation imposed by the Assimilation Technique, while also casting away any abilities, traits, bloodlines, and appearances brought on by it. After using this technique, the user may once more access the abilities and techniques listed on this page and may even assimilate a different target.
Weaknesses: This is also considered a Kinjutsu by the clan. Any who see the casting off of an assimilated form will naturally know that Assimilation is possible. This can potentially lead to the compromise of every Ancient in the world that walks in another’s form.

Description: This technique is the very foundation of the clan as a whole. Without it, there would only be one Ancient. While he would certainly be powerful, having existing since before the dawn of Ninshu, he would be much less effective than the culmination of centuries of offspring brought about by this one technique. It begins by opening one’s arms out wide, with palms open, to take in some of the natural energy in the vicinity. As the hands get closer, they concentrate this energy until bringing them together, cupped into each other. Then, the user applies a large amount of his life energy and some of his chakra while envisioning the result of this creation. That image takes form in the shape of a small egg. This egg will then draw in nature energy over the course of its gestation period, which can be as short as two weeks or as long as a hundred years. The duration goes until either the creator wills it to end, the egg is forced open, or the creature within has matured to the point of self-extrication.
The creature that is born into the clan can be either a new player character or a unique NPC. In the case of the former, a player separate from this technique’s user will control the new character. In the latter case, the user is able to control the new character. As a Unique NPC, the character will advance in class based on how many real time months have passed after the egg’s creation and before its birth. It begins at E and advances one rank for every 3 months. Beyond that, the Unique NPC can advance further should the user decide to gift experience points to the NPC.
Weaknesses: As mentioned earlier, the use of this technique involves imparting a heavy amount of the user’s extensive life force. As beings of Sage Chakra and Nature Chakra, The Ancients have the natural potential to live forever. However, by using this technique once, the user’s life span is reduced to one thousand years. Every subsequent use halves this, until the user has less than one hundred years remaining. Using the technique at that point would require all of the user’s life force, causing death.

Description: This is the natural ability possessed by all of The Ancients due to their inherent mix of Sage and Nature Chakra. All techniques used by them are comprised of this powerful blend of chakra and, because of that, are stronger than normal techniques. This means that any other chakra based techniques used by an Ancient will naturally beat any opposing techniques of equal or lower power. This bears similarity to the technique enhancement ability natural to Sages. However, because Ancients are incapable of utilizing Nature Chakra to the extent of actual Sages, this ability is not quite as powerful. For this reason, opposing techniques of greater rank than the chakra-based techniques of the user will still win any clash.
Weaknesses: While one need not spend experience points nor word count to learn this technique, it does require the associated Ninjutsu Skill to use.

Description: This unique Juuinjutsu was developed to incorporate the use of Nature Chakra and combine it with the Sage’s Chakra to assert dominance over all other forms of chakra. This seal appears as a complicated inscription marked onto one of the user’s arms and applied via touch. The seal causes excruciating pain at first, while it ingrains itself into the user’s very essence, but from then on is pain free. When activated, the seal can cause any other technique that uses any kind of chakra to fall apart and crumble. This is done by holding the cursed hand towards a technique and empowering it with energy. The seal will deduct from its user an amount of chakra equal to the opposing technique once within a meter of it and immediately cause it to fall apart, effectively undoing it. This is most often used on techniques that invoke shape transformation and are given physical form through it, but it can also be used on existing seals and even Genjutsu, so long as the user is aware of its existence.
Weaknesses: When used on techniques that invoke nature transformation, the user must possess the same element that this curse is being applied to. Like other abilities on this page, the Curse of Undoing cannot be used while Assimilated, but because it is ingrained into the user’s essence, it will reappear once the Assimilation is Cleansed.

Description: This is the partner curse to the Curse of Undoing. Rather than cause shaped chakra to fall apart, this curse absorbs raw, unshaped chakra. In the case of Ancients, this is most often the lingering chakra remaining after the Curse of Undoing has been applied to a technique. However, it can also be used on auras of chakra or living entities that are within range. Similarly to the partner curse, this seal is activated by holding out one’s hand out towards the chakra that is desired for recompense. The seal will then absorb that chakra at a rate of 25 points per post if exposed and 15 points per post if not exposed. Exactly as the partner curse, this one is applied via touch and causes excruciating pain during application while it ingrains itself into the bearer’s essence.
Weaknesses: Remnant chakra from techniques that are undone by the partner curse dissipates beyond the point of recompense after the first post. If chakra has had nature transformation applied to it, the bearer of this curse must have that element in order to invoke this curse upon that chakra. This seal vanishes during Assimilation like its partner curse, but also reappears after Cleansing.

Description: By calling upon the Chakras of Nature and of the Sage present within their body, Ancients are able to achieve a form very similar to the one used by those trained in Six Paths Senjutsu. However, because they lack the mass of chakra of either a Juubi Jinchuuriki or one that has obtained chakra from all nine Bijuu, as well as training in the use of Nature Chakra through Sage Mode, Ancients are much more restricted in their use of this form. Once activated, the form gives the user a cloak of chakra that takes different forms based on the user’s preference. Most often, it is a white haori which flickers as flames. The circular pattern of Hagoromo is present on the user’s back, with six magatama to represent the six paths. This is notably different from the actual Six Paths Sage Mode, which bears nine magatama.
When in this form, Ancients can switch between focuses in speed or power. The former boosts their Speed and Coordination by one tier. The latter boosts their Strength and Constitution by one tier. While they can use these interchangeably for the duration of the form, they cannot use both within the same post.
While Sages and especially those with Six Paths Senjutsu gain access to the various Sage Arts while in their Sage Modes, Ancients gain access only to specific techniques listed on this page which require this specific form. These techniques are generally weaker than Sage Arts and are not subject to Sage Technique Enhancement.
One trait of the real Six Paths Sage Mode that is carried over to the Ancients is universal sensing. Because the Ancients possess the chakras of the sage and of nature, they are capable of understanding the true nature of all chakra, both in living creatures and in the world itself. With this, they are capable of sensing all things in existence within 50 meters of themselves while using this technique. This is not a natural ability, however, and is not necessary inherent with this mode, either. The user must spend 250 EP to learn this method of sensing, though need not possess the sensory skill.
Weaknesses: As with Assimilation, the use of this technique risks exposing the secret of the Ancients to the world. The only forms similar in appearance to this one are Bijuu Chakra Modes and the true Six Paths Sage Mode. No known human has achieved the latter, while the former are only used by Jinchuuriki, which are typically well known within at least their own village. Using this form in the presence of others will likely spark curiosity, which leads to exposure.

Parent Technique: Ancient Six Paths Sage Mode
Hand Seals: Snake
Description: This is a technique that can only be learned after the parent technique and can only be used while the parent technique is active. The Ancient Truth-Seeking Orbs are much like their normal counterparts in appearance and function. However, they are more limited in number and speed. The user, while in Ancient Six Paths Sage Mode, can form the snake hand seal and then spread both hands to reveal up to six Ancient Truth-Seeking Orbs. Each orb inflicts the activation cost and the user can only create one for every tier in Stamina (E-S = 1-6). These orbs are black and approximately the size of softballs. They float behind the user when not in use and can be controlled with the user’s will. They move with A-Tier Speed and are malleable enough to combine for greater size and/or form into all kinds of different shapes. These orbs are able to invoke the power of the Sage’s Chakra in combination with Nature Chakra to a degree normally inaccessible to The Ancients by negating the effects of all Ninjutsu that are created with normal chakra.
Weaknesses: Other than being slower and more costly, these orbs are also different from the normal ones in that they are ineffective against not only Senjutsu (techniques containing 50% or more Nature Chakra), but Bijuu and Six Paths techniques as well (those containing 50% or more of either Bijuu Chakra or Hagoromo’s Chakra). They are also not quite as deadly to living creatures. They will not evaporate anything that touch them. They are instead solid and can merely penetrate or inflict other such physical harm. For their true effectiveness is against the chakra derived from that which created them.

Name: Ancient Truth-Seeking Orbs
Rank: S
Learning Requirement: 250 EP
Power: S
Activation Cost: 25
Upkeep Cost: -
Range: 50 Meters
Speed: A
Element: -
Skill: Clan Skill (Ancients)
Classification: Kinjutsu | Group Exclusive (Ancients)
Requirements: Active Ancient Six Paths Sage Mode
