Mission Name: Step One: Collect

This mission was close to home for the young Hoshigaki. He personally didn't like the stipulations for the mission. Keeping criminal scum alive for the sake of rehabilitation was something that was foreign to him. He had spent a majority of his career killing, that's what he was good at. Taking people alive was a new concept.

But one he would have to adapt before long. Kyoji was dressed in all black with a Jounin jacket on signifying his rank. He would have to approach this mission much differently than he was used to. He had to take in some people off the streets and arrest them. This would be usually left to the police but they had no station put up yet to deal with it. Up to him.

The Kiri Jounin was perched on top of a building. They had received intelligence that a group of thugs were terrorizing folks in market for protection. The gangs were getting bigger and bolder. There was no one to check them in these times of war. With the "Walking Death" rumors now getting back to the village after the conquest in the Land of Demons. Everyone was emboldened to increase production.

War between nations met that more war between criminal enterprises capitalizing on it. This even brought out scum harassing markets for protection from other gangs. Kyoji was given intel that there was particular group that frequented an old ma and pa restaurant. Forcing them to pay wages for protection that they didn't even need. The Hoshigaki would be waiting for them this time. His nose was picking up a number of smells, but one in particular was indeed foul. Like...musty.

It was almost dusk, it was the time they usually arrived to harass the market place. They came in a group of five, all wearing tattoos and clothing representing the Iron Blood gang. Brutal but efficient, the criminal mastermind behind this enterprise was th bane to the entire city. They would do well to gain some type of information or edge against this foe. Someone they have yet to capture or kill. For now Kyoji would go along with the Mizukage's plan. But here was probably the easiest part. Capturing them.

The gang rolled up to the market street. There was a few people still on the streets but scattered when they noticed who was coming. The clerk at the small restaurant noticed the fleeing people and knew it was time. She alerted everyone that they were here. And two more joined her as the gang burst in. "Its time Maku!" The one who was in front said, he was armed with a machete or a katana. That was Kyoji's cue.

Kyoji, like a ninja, silently jumped from his perch on top of the towering building. He dropped to the ground, about five meters away from the gangsters. He coughed loudly, catching the attention of the Iron-Blood gang. They stopped their advance to the restaurant and turned around. They could see the Jonin jacket and the shark like appearance of the Hoshigaki. With the darkness of night coming soon it gave him a dangerous look.

His appearance instantly had them spooked. They hadn't thought they would actually run into a shinobi. A crazy looking one at that. "I take it you were all just leaving...correct." Kyokji said with a deep voice. They all stiffened up, but looked to their psuedo leader calling the shots. The man left the door and went to confront Kyoji instead. He was a head shorter than Kyoji but that didn't stop him from sizing him up.

"Who the fuck are you?"

Aside from being butt ugly, he was somewhat brave. The other knew just from his appearance that they were screwed. This was apparent when the man stepped forward, the rest of them took a step back. Apparently they had some training in fighting, but knew that they didn't fair well against a fully armored Jounin.
"I am you arresting officer. Kyoji Hoshigaki." Kyoji answered the man.

If they weren't scared before, they were now. They had heard tales of the beast from the Hoshigaki clan. They weren't a common sight here in the village ironically. But his shark like appearance was now coming into better light, and they were now fully aware of who they were dealing with. "Arresting me? Arrest this!" Of course the leader now realizing his situation, was in fight or flight mode.

The man arched a fist back and hastily tried to knock Kyoji's block off. Kyoji's hand moved with such speed an precision that he clearly outclassed him. He caught the mans fist and stopped all momentum. Kyoji pushed back and sent the man stumbling backwards but otherwise unharmed. "I see you have some spice in your life. But I'm willing to give you all a chance. Your Lord Mizukage is feeling merciful. We will give you another chance in this life, as we know your particular gang preys on adolescences."

"What do you mean?" The man who tried to punch him said getting back to a standing position albeit much further away.

"You will be going through a proper boot camp. To be helpful to the village, instead of against it. To become shinobi of the Mist village. You will no longer have to fight for the gang in order to bring food and joy to your family. And you will be free, though working for us. However to deny this will end in jail."

It seemed like they were all surprised by it. Kyoji was just as surprised that he resolved a situation without having butcher anyone. Maybe people do change. But that all depended on their answers.

"Seems we don't have much of choice. We accept. We will no longer associate ourselves with the Iron-Blood gang." The man said with a solemn expression. They had been trained to be cruel and unusual to their fellow villagers. That type of mentality was best aimed at enemies. Kyoji would not teach them to weaken their resolve, but to better aim it.

"No. You don't have a choice. See you're making good deductions already. Now go an apologize to the restaurant owners, this'll be your first test of many.And by the way...what is your name?" Kyoji asked the leader of the group. He looked about the same age as Kyoji if not older. The Jounin was quite young for his rank, a prodigy they would say.

"I am Danzo Hitori. These are Rei, Yamato, Sun, and Li." The others merely nodded, two afraid they would mess up their golden ticket out.

"You five will be my students from now. Hurry up. We have things to you must learn."
