Description: The Academy is planning an event for one of it's graduating classes and seek to pair up their students with an older Shinobi. Head on over to the academy and pick up the last remaining student and take them around the Village showing off your daily duties. If you have friends bring them with you to help broaden the student's horizon.

The mission had already been underway for a little while, the student assigned to her following obediently. Arisu was glad that her student wasn't one to disrupt the teachings, as she really didn't feel like having a disobedient little shit following her around for the day. She didn't really have the patience for that sort of thing lately. Perhaps it was because her training regimen was leaving her irritable, always working on something, and she didn't have time to relax, but whatever it was, she was quite short with people lately.

Her assigned student was a young girl with shoulder length black hair and light brown eyes. The girl was much shorter than Arisu, but that could also be due to her age. She couldn't have been much older than 10 or so. Academy students were little more than child soldiers in training half the time. There were plenty of students fresh out of the Academy that were much older, but some students started at as young as 5 years old.

The Shinobi life was rough for so many, and Arisu knew that many weren't cut out for it. Still, this girl seemed set on being a shinobi, so Arisu obliged her by showing her what she most likely was cut out for. To be fair, most shinobi and kunoichi never made it past the Chuunin rank, as many didn't possess a high potential for greatness.

"To be honest, most of my daily duties is just patrolling the streets. I'm more or less always on duty, so if I see some crime happening, I am mandated to report it, close off the area, or engage and detain if possible, depending on the threat level and my ability to handle the situation." Arisu explained. "Because most genin are not extremely combat effective, we usually are the ones to assist in the evacuation of an area for civilians. There have not been many incidents though, so I have never had to do any of that. My patrols have been largely uneventful."

She took the girl on her usual route, showing her the places that were best to stand and keep an eye on things. She explained that those places were decent blind spots and places to blend in and act more natural. People tended to not notice if you just appeared to be another person milling around, or even notice that anyone was there in the first place.

Arisu liked to walk through the residential part of Kirigakure, mainly to people watch and see what people did when they weren't out shopping. The girl spoke up then. "So, what other than patrols do you usually do, Miss?"

Arisu thought about it a little bit. To be frank, Arisu liked to keep her involvement as a shinobi limited for the time being, so it really was just mainly patrols. She supposed that she did train quite a bit, and worked on making jutsu that she could utilize. Then, of course, there were missions, like this one.

"That's a good question. I do a lot of missions, but that's because I need to build up a supply of money so I can afford to properly outfit myself with gear. We aren't required to do as many as I've been doing lately, but it is still part of your job as a shinobi to do some missions, whether you want to or not. Usually, you'll be assigned to a Jounin or Chuunin who will assign you these missions, but I haven't been assigned to any, so I've been taking it upon myself to do missions on my own."

She stopped and kneeled a little to see eye to eye with the girl. "Beyond that, it is a Shinobi's duty to keep themselves in good form. You're expected to maintain your own training regimen, to work on and master new jutsu, and keep yourself ready for whatever new assignment you need do. Guards and combat shinobi need to be fighting ready. Teachers and scientists need to keep up on their own more mental training. Whatever is required to do your job."

Standing back up, she beckoned for the girl to follow her. It was time to head back to the Academy so she could go home. "I like to do everything as if it is my duty though. If what I'm doing isn't benefiting me or the village in the end, then I don't really need to be doing it." In truth, Arisu's only duty was the ultimate unification of the Rin'negan's split powers into one. She didn't care about Kirigakure, but was using it to help her achieve her ultimate goal. Being a shinobi was simply part of her duty in the end.
