Modoroki Shrine The Modoroki Shrine is believed to be the location where Hagoromo discovered the nature of chakra. After months of study and meditation, the first jutsu was said to be cast in the temperate jungles of the Nagi Strait. Hagoromo's wonders attracted the attention of nearby warriors, monks, and common-folk. While it was the astonishing display of magic that drew their attention, the shrine's true value lay in the lessons that were taught there. Hagoromo gave his first lectures sitting atop a slab of stone. He talked about bonds, forming bridges between others, and accomplishing universal peace through celestial sorcery. The man's words dazzled and inspired millions to take up his creed. The knowledge imparted on this small island would have consequences for generations to come. Today, Modoroki occupies the preeminent status as being the birthplace of Ninshū. The Shrine contains several statutes dedicated to Hagoromo.
