Shimiko had been granted entrance to see her brother after much fanfare and hand wringing. The Raikage was in dire straits and she pulled a chair close to his hospital bed. She prayed the hardest she had ever prayed in her entire life for Janshin to save her brother. She prayed that she'd do anything if he'd get better. She'd kill more people, She'd kill her parents, She'd even kill her own squadmates if it meant that her brother could live again. But Seigi did not move a muscle. Whatever was effecting him had rendered him totally inert and unresponsive to his surroundings. It pained her to see him like this and made her fear for her own mortality. To be taken like this....sickly and weak was the worst possible way to die. When Seigi finally passed away, she cried her eyes out. Inconsolable, bitter, and angry she demanded that his body be cremated immediately. She did not want others to see him like this and she didn't want anyone taking advantage of his corpse. If Seigi's comrades had visited they made no mention of it. Their parents had refused to come see him and for this she vowed to kill them. It appeared that her family was permanently fractured and the only kin she truly cared for was dead. Shimiko walked with the doctors to the crematorium where the body was prepared, embalmed, and then finally burnt to ash. The Janshinist dried her tears and stared despondently at the flames. She wanted to say something profound. Something that reflected the accomplishments of his life. But her mouth remained dry and she couldn't find the right words so Shimiko remained completely and utterly silent during the whole process. When the cremation was finished, the ashes were gathered in a jar which she would take home.

I never got the chance to say goodbye...

Shimiko left the hospital clutching all that she had of her brother. It hurt. Badly. The girl felt a pain the likes of which she had never experienced before. She wanted to cry but she had no tears left so she turned to the only thing that was her solace in times like these. Rage.

I feel like destroying something beautiful...
