There has been a murder in the Heavenly Emporium. Not just any murder, the murder of an Angel. Rini Nakamura, the newly recognized Lead Engineer of the Emporium's propulsion division, was killed at roughly eight o'clock on a Sunday. Rini had been living in a modest cabin on the outskirts of the floating island. Her workshop was a mess of formulae, visions, and knowledge far beyond human comprehension. The Chuunin's cunning genius posed a threat to many factions and during that fateful evening, someone decided to remove her from the chessboard. Rini's corpse was found undisturbed except a lone dagger embedded deep into her heart. Despite the crime scene being unspoiled, the Emporium's finest are still scratching their heads.
For an act of murder to occur during the festival is unthinkable and the powers that be have opted for it to be hushed up. SHIRA, the Shinobi Humanitarian International Regulatory Authority, have set up a perimeter and have begun the long and arduous task of picking apart the the crime scene. Shinobi in SHIRA windbreakers and black sunglasses surround the cabin, with experts in white coats looking for a single shred of evidence. Rini's body is being carried out of the cabin with a white sheet draped over her body. This ominous killing must be resolved. In order to preserve the integrity of the peace struck at the Kage Summit and to maintain the confidence of the small-folk, those in the know have adopted the slogan: Angels Don't Die in Heaven. A codeword meaning that the Emporium's reputation must be secured, the perpetrators must be brought to justice and the people shielded from the awful truth of the day's events. For if an Angel can die in heaven, then no soul is safe from the scourge of evil.

There are five clues that you can use to discover the mystery of how Rini Nakamura was killed. Each one will provide a glimpse into what the murderers have in store for the ninja world.
Clue No.1
- Spoiler:
Among Rini's stack of notes (more like chickenscratch) there is a lone sheet of looseleaf with a curious formula written on it. It provides: 6 is U times the proportion of the variance for a dependent variable divided by Mother's Milk. The SHIRA detectives have written off this clue as being the ravings of a teenage girl gone mad. Rini's unfortunate blindness and her unrivaled intellect have caused many to postulate she has committed suicide and has staged this whole affair as an elaborate prank to poke fun at the incompetence of shinobi. Nevertheless, an acquiring mind might be drawn to this piece of paper and the bizarre formula written on it.
Reward: If you solve this clue, you can continue receiving base experience at 20 Experience for an additional 6 months once the Heavenly Emporium bonus ends.
- Spoiler:
A miniature autopsy was conducted by a Hyuuga Clan detective. To their astonishment, they had found wording written on the inside of Rini's ribcage. The paragon of intellect had managed to literally draw a cipher inside her bone. They record that the cipher is as follows: Rashi Tehillim Messier: ケイ素. More gobbledygook. A detective has put forth the theory that Rini has been working on a super-weapon for the Ōtsutsuki and that this phrase was the activation code for a doomsday device. Maybe he was onto something or perhaps he was just trying to justify his paycheck. Either way, it would not be surprising if someone were to uncover the true meaning behind these cryptic words.
Reward: You can enjoy the perk system for another year.
- Spoiler:
For someone so well-versed in science, Rini's cabin has been the center of several paranormal events. The detectives have complained that they feel as though they are always being Watched. No matter what barrier was put up or how hard they vetted the investigators, there is an omnipresent weight attached to this crime scene. Many forensic analysts have confessed that they hear the sound of wailing and mourning. There also appears to be beeping, clicks and assorted sounds occurring at random intervals. Someone has argued that Mockingbird has returned and is casting Genjutsu on the whole island. They see this as the prelude to some kind of mass brainwashing event. As unlikely as it may be, no one is smart enough to know for sure. But maybe you are. If you have natural S-Tier Perception or S-Tier Intelligence along with the Fuuinjutsu skill then you may auto-solve this clue.
Reward: You can make a one-time gift allowing you to transfer spendable experience to any person or alt of your choosing.
Clue No. 4
- Spoiler:
Forensic analysts have discovered a burnt poster. The graphic image cannot be made out due to the fire damage it has sustained. However, a particularly skilled Chemist (B-Rank Intel or above) can restore the image and find out the secrets that lay within. A detective has guessed that the picture is a propaganda poster used by Revolutionary United Labor. They claim that Rini was a secret sympathizer of the now defunct revolutionary organization and was plotting to sabotage the Stag Emporium and the Eclipse Federation. It could be total BS but only one way to find out. Use your chemistry skills to restore the artwork and find out just what Rini thought was so interesting about it.
Reward: You can automatically receive the coordinates for three Minor Nations of your choice.
Clue No. 5
- Spoiler:
- Among the white lab coats and SHIRA G-Men stands a familiar face. A man with grey hair, comically long chin, and obnoxiously opulent jewelry. The luxury watch wearing, million-ryo scandals sporting, co-ed seducing scholar of the University of Moon: Professor Cuomo. Fresh off his discovery of the Spirit-Killer, Prof. Cuomo has been called in to the examine any strange fragments or phenomena surrounding the murder. Unfortunately, SHIRA cannot afford to pay his exorbitant consulting salary and the phrase "Angels Don't Die in Heaven" has only elicited scornful laughter from him. His analysis has been spotty and uninspired leading to numerous dead-ends. Some have worried that he was in on the assassination and is thus sabotaging their efforts. It could also be that Cuomo has gotten rich off of death and misery so he doesn't have much of a conscience to speak of. Perhaps you can converse with him and inspire him to actually assist with the investigation.
Reward: Cuomo will make you an X-Rank Chemical Implement if you can provide him enough muse to take on this challenge.
