Sharper Senses: For a 5CP activation cost, Youta can increase his sense of awareness utilizing his five senses to a heightened degree. In exchange his pain tolerance wanes as he becomes sensitive to pain. +1 tier to Perception, -1 tier to Constitution.
Ryo Debt: Youta, after taking a small loan from one of the loan sharks, acquired this small amount just to get by with the basic equipment that shinobi would need. In doing so, Youta has to pay them back at least 50% of whatever he earns. 45,000 ryo, and 72,500 ryo in debt.
Appearance:
Youta Korikane is a 5'10" young man with a thin body type. He's built in bulk of muscle like most males around his age would be. Rather than focusing on strength and muscles, Youta sought a balance between strength and speed. His facial expression is often in a stoic form as Youta was trained to keep his emotions in check in terms of visually comprehending what emotion Youta is going through. Even so, his face is almost doll-like with a dignified air around it.
His dark hair has a cyan blue streak along the left side of his face. It's often styled to be center parted as Youta keeps it at shoulder-length. Comically, he always has a single strand of dark hair sticking up that strangely defies logic.
Clothing preferences would go for athletic type as he strangely values the militaristic part of his clothing. Always viewing it on how it would affect his mobility and whether or not it would get in his way at any time. So he often wears a tight black tank top and shinobi slacks. Youta's version of comfort is staying alive kind, and the most casual anyone is gonna find him in is a jacket with a hood.
History:
Youta Korikane was ordained since he was young to one day lead by the Elder Seer. Of course most of the Korikane sought to hoard their wealth and didn't place too much stock into Youta's abilities. For they have grown comfortable with having the Crystal Princess to lead them. However Youta always understood that he must work hard to lead the clan one day. It was through this understanding that Youta sought to make himself to be Korikane's heir as their upcoming clan leader.
When Youta was only 15, his father had become incredibly sick to the point that the doctors couldn't save his life. Or rather, the Korikane clan had fallen so far in debt that they could not pay for any of the medicine. It made Youta furious as to how low they were brought down that he couldn't save his own family.
Even so, Youta stayed by his father's side trying his best to give his father some comfort. It was perhaps the worse four months of Youta's life as each day his father kept getting weaker and weaker. Up to the point where his father was diagnosed with dementia and often confused everyone else to be his first wife, Ai who had been dead for years prior. That perhaps was the worse for his father's third wife, Chihiro, and frankly couldn't bear seeing her husband suffering as his strength continued to leave him. It was a rough time for Youta, yet Youta never once left his father's side. Instead he took care of his father until one morning. Youta found his father dead in his sleep, and with the agreement from Kinda Korikane they gave Youta's father a burial in Iwagakure.
Afterwards, once Youta had recovered from the immediate grief, he went to the Ninja Academy. In just a few months Youta passed the exams. However Youta still faced a crippling debt on his family, and he is gonna work on correcting that.
Personality:
Youta Korikane is the dignified heir of the Korikane clan, and because of this Youta was drilled into how to behave both inside and outside of the military. He's the respectful lad that treats everyone equally. Youta values hardwork over talent simply because those who worked hard proved to be the most loyal. That's the second thing Youta highly values, loyalty. Whether it is his clan, team, or partner Youta takes responsibility in whatever ill Fate has dealt to them. By the same token Youta wouldn't abandon his friends to die over some trinkets. In his mind, an artifact will always be around, but a life is worth more because it's not infinite.
Youta has a strange soft spot towards birds in particular, and he's often taking care of a bird or even a messenger bird that just came back from a long trip. He is admittedly a bit naive however, and hasn't been exposed to the true horrors the world has to offer. He believes that he is ready for it, but the arrogance only protects his frigid armor of the mind.
That being said, loyalty can blind him as if someone suspects the people he trusted to be a traitor. Youta would deny and defend the accused until concrete proof has been given. He's the kind of guy who is loyal to those who are loyal to him, and Youta would defend them out of respect with unwavering faith until proven otherwise. Youta however can be nasty when betrayed as hatred took place of what occurred. Depending on the severity of the betrayal there's a possibility of being forgiven, but he definitely doesn't take too kindly of being betrayed more than once.
