    Mission Name: Nin-catastrophy!
    Mission Type: Capture
    Mission Rank: C
    Mission Goal: Catch the Cat!
Description:There's been a pesky Nincat wandering the halls of the hospital and causing trouble. Do something to get it out of the building for good. Remember, Nincat's are smart and quick to use their claws so be careful.
    Payment: 15,000
    Requirements: Gennin+

Another day, another mission. At least this time it wasn’t some brothel, or gang related activity. No, this one was almost adorable in actuality. They just had to get a nincat out of the hospital where it was raising merry hell. That was something Tamwyn was happy to assist with. The hospital was clean and tidy, the smell of disinfectant filled the air and patients lay within beds with patients wearing their ventilators to help them in breathing. Tamwyn strode the halls, keeping his sensory open for any sign of the little furball and nearby Yenn would be moving along with him, he was certain. Cats were naturally stealthy creatures and a ninja cat of all things was probably more so than your average house cat. Still, the mission was a welcome change of pace for Tamwyn and probably Yenn too.

As he moved he spoke quietly, to ensure he disturbed no patients. “You’ll see use a technique that might seem to be incredible harsh on the cat Yenn. However let me tell you now that it won’t hurt it at all. All it’ll do is short out it’s nervous system for a bit so it can’t see, hear, smell, taste, or feel anything. Then we’ll just take it outside after a few low grade buzzes of a raiton chakra to give it something to feel when it’s senses come back and that should make it think of the hospital as ‘bad’. It should be nice and simple..Of course we gotta find the little thing first..” He said, explaining his plan to his lover as they moved down the halls, watching, and listening for a ninja cat of all things. Seriously, who comes up with this shit?

This mission was one of the more ridiculous ones that she and Tamwyn had been assigned. It was also a welcome change of pace from the doom and gloom that they had been stuck with over the past few days. All they had to do was search the hospital for a ninja cat. Which she imagined to be like a regular cat but somehow trained to . . . kill? Or something? She didn’t much care for the smell of disinfectant, it was far too unnatural and made her wonder what kind of animal would prefer this kind of environment over anywhere outdoors. As if she would know the inner workings of the mind of a cat. She had no problem hunting small game outdoors in the forest, she had done so for years and had always caught enough to eat well. This time though she wasn’t trying to hunt, or eventually eat, their target.

She walked quietly along with Tamwyn, she was always by his side if it was physically possible. She listened to him explain what he was going to do to ‘encourage’ the cat to stay away from the hospital and she would cringe involuntarily. The idea of electrocuting the ninja cat to ‘train’ it was something that hit a little too close to home for her. But she trusted him when he said it wouldn’t be to hurt the cat. And reluctantly she would nod in agreement to his plan. “As long as we’re not actually hurting it.” She would move away from him slightly as she peered around doors and under carts looking for the furry menace.

He would see her cringe out of the corner of his eye and wince visibly at the reaction. He hadn’t even considered her feelings on the matter and what that might imply. How could he have forgotten that? Or have been so insensitive as to suggest electrocution as the option to keep the cat away from the hospital? Still, even if it was in bad taste, it was also all he could do really. I mean he wasn’t about to break the cats bones or something. That would just be extremely rude and probably cause much more pain than necessary to the poor creature. “Sorry Yenn, if I had any other options I would but I’m a bit of a one trick pony. I promise not to hurt the little guy but I gotta do enough to associate this place with annoyance and a desire to ‘stay away’.” He would say, looking at her apologetically and searching her expression for any sign of disapproval.

Provided that was met with at least some form of ‘alright’. Or perhaps ‘approval’ although he doubted the latter would be forthcoming he would feel something register on his sensory. “Show time..” He would mutter as the cat appeared in the hallway intersection ahead of them. It would look at them in a catlike manner, which was to say as if it was better than them and wondering why they hadn’t provided it with food and worship. Of course, Tamwyn’s reaction to that would be to walk forward, and kneel to pet the creature and as he touched it, utilize his overload technique. The moment he touched the cat it would stiffen up, it’s eyes would glaze over and it would fall over on it’s side. It wasn’t in pain, it couldn’t even feel pain at that moment. Because that technique, ‘Overload’ short circuited the nervous system and fried ones senses for a time. Effectively making one ‘blind, deaf, and dumb’. With that done he would pick the cat up and begin to carry it outside, channeling a low voltage charge of raiton chakra into the creature. It wouldn’t do much beyond make it’s hair stand on end for awhile and make it uncomfortable, but it should get the message. When they get outside he set it up on a tree branch. Mainly because it would make sure no one stepped on it. Or a dog didn’t get to it while it couldn’t run. Then he would turn to Yenn and nod his head. “Done and done.” He would say, before nodding his head toward home. “More relaxation awaits.” He would say triumphantly, another mission done, as stupid as it might have been.

Yenn was glad to hear that Tamwyn at least understood why she might have an issue with his solution to the cat problem. She would laugh quietly as he described himself as a ‘one trick pony’, it was a ridiculous term and it was all too true of herself as well. “So am I though. The pony thing, I mean.” They were an interesting pair, both lightning users who for some reason didn’t carry weapons most of the time. Or wear armor. Or really do much else besides channel raiton. It did make nearly every problem a lightning rod. Tamwyn had also never lied to her, and as he reassured her that he wouldn’t hurt the cat she would nod as a sign to ‘go ahead’. She may not like it, but as a fellow lightning user she was well aware that at very low voltages the energy didn’t have to hurt and could be quite useful in subduing targets mercifully.

Tamwyn caught sight of the cat long before she did, he was definitely the more perceptive of the two. She would stay still as he approached the cat and made to pet it, which was a ruse of course and she would wince sympathetically as electricity made the cat seemingly freeze in place and fall over. She watched with concern as Tamwyn picked it up and she followed after him outside nodding in approval as Tamwyn put the cat in a nearby tree. “I guess that wasn’t so bad. I’m sure he won’t want to go inside anymore. Home?” She would walk hand in hand away from the hospital with Tamwyn, happy to have completed another mission.
