    Mission Name: Bouncing
    Mission Type: Hired Work
    Mission Rank: C
Mission Goal: Keep club attenders in line like a normal bouncer. Do it without being flashy or killing.
Description: A local club owner has requested the services of one or several shinobi donning the role of bouncer in response to an increasing number of nightly reports of issues occurring.
    Payment: 15,000 Ryo
    Requirements: Genin+

Well this was certainly a change of pace. They were working as bouncers at a club, the reason this was odd was that Yenn, his usual partner, was not generally the ‘bouncer’ type. Given that she stood all of five feet tall, without heels, even with an imperious demeanor she really didn’t cut much of an ‘intimidating’ figure. Really, in Tamwyn’s eyes, she cut more of an ‘enticing’ one. Still that too had its uses in the club. Tamwyn himself worked the door, checking ID’s, giving people ‘the glare’, and generally ensuring that every single patron knew full well that they were someone there who absolutely would kick the ever living shit out of them and toss them out into the mud if they got out of line. This would be expected of him as the ‘doorman’ and it gave him certain leeway within their mission parameters. He couldn’t be overly flashy, or kill anyone. Not that he’d kill a stupid drunk or just a lonely individual who had too much to drink.

The ‘without being flashy’ bit was more difficult for him though. He was a lightning user, and a damn good one. Sadly, the very nature of lightning precluded the ability to not be flashy. Since you know, it’s flashes of energy. Lethal energy in most cases, but flashes of them. So he effectively couldn’t use any of his more obvious ninjutsu. That didn’t mean he didn’t have options though. He would easily play human taser if necessary and Yenn could probably do the same thing. However his main job was to make sure that no one underage went in the drink, and that they knew there was a ‘big bad wolf’ around to make sure no one got out of line. Yenn’s job tonight was a bit more..sneaky. She had the job of working the crowd, making sure no one was being too ‘handsy’ with someone else and diverting their attention if they were. Or sitting at the bar and ‘fake’ drinking and watching for people who might try to drug others or who simply had too much to drink and telling them they had to go. All in all, Tamwyn was curious as to how the woman would do at the job given her lack social preferences. Which is to say, given her desire to be the fuck away from people.

Working inside a crowded bar was the furthest thing from what Yenn wanted to be doing. It was at least tied for furthest up there with ‘climbing a mountain in the high heeled boots she absolutely refused to take off even though after an hour her feet screamed at her every time she wore them.’ At least this time they didn’t have to kill anyone, and as long as they weren’t supposed to do anything ‘flashy’ that pretty much made her job a breeze. Tamwyn was guarding the door, because apparently the bar door was important or something? She’d never been to a bar before and she wasn’t sure of the protocol. But now that she was in one she still didn’t understand the appeal. It smelled horrible and there were people squished into it in such a way that avoiding shocking people was going to prove difficult. As she made her way through the room to the bar proper, because why not have a recursive naming scheme?, she heard more than one yelp of pain as some hapless idiot touched her.

Sitting on a vacant stool she would take a deep breath and face the crowded room, keeping an eye out for people that were causing trouble. Whatever that looked like. As far as she was concerned everyone in the place was causing trouble and they’d be better off going to their respective homes and sleeping off whatever madness they’d willingly imbibed. It didn’t take long for her to notice a potential problem. A young woman around her age was angrily telling a guy about twice hers to ‘fuck off’. That was enough for Yenn. She would get up and weave her way through the crowd, disregarding the continued yelps as she accidentally brushed shoulders and elbows in the tight space. Standing between the pair she had spotted she addressed the young woman, ignoring the man for the moment. “Are you alright?” Was all she said until she felt the unmistakable grip of an unwanted hand on her upper arm. Small arcs of lightning would jump out at the idiotic man’s hand even as fear gripped her. Spinning on her heel she looked up into the man’s surprised and very drunk face and something happened that she didn’t anticipate. She felt angry. Lifting a gloved hand to the man’s arm she would send a weak charge of raiton through him that had him spasm briefly before dropping like a rock to the floor.

She looked despairingly down at the fallen man, and wondered if knocking him out would be considered ‘flashy’. She hoped not and she searched the crowd for Tamwyn, before attempting to drag the man outside herself. It was likely rather comical looking, she wasn’t exactly weak, but she was small and as she pulled him along the floor she regretted not trying to get him to leave before dropping him.

There were not a great many things that were as amusing as making your way through a crowded bar and coming across the woman who was effectively your girlfriend trying to drag an unconscious man out from the bar. At least not to Tamwyn, who was fairly confident in himself and how much Yenn enjoyed his company. So it was rather difficult for him to not laugh. Luckily, the surrounding patrons seemed to think the man had simply had too much to drink and had passed out and that Yenn was trying to assist him. The pale haired Chuunin moved over and began to do that as well, ensuring that Yenn saw him as he knelt down and cracked one of the man’s eyelids and nodded to himself. Out cold, good, that meant he wouldn’t feel anything. So, to ensure the man was punished accordingly for whatever he had done. Tamwyn grabbed one of the man’s legs and dragged him out of the door.

There was no one else trying to get in, this particular bar wasn’t one of the more popular ones so Tamwyn had taken a moment to check in on Yenn and had discovered her predicament. So the door was free and clear as he dragged the man through it into the open air. Then down a flight of stairs. ‘God I’m a dick..’ He thought to himself as he dragged the man down the stairs and toward some garbage cans on the side of the road. It would improve the man’s smell and the headache the poor fucker would have in the morning would be an absolute beauty. Maybe it would even coerce the moron to stop drinking so much, maybe. Once his entertaining little delivery was made Tamwyn made his way back up to the bar and resumed his position, alternating between checking ID’s at the door and helping Yenn work the floor. Eventually the bar would close and while they were there to work they were only there as bouncers so they were able to call it a day when the bartender closed up shop. He and his staff would clean up, and Yenn and Tamwyn could go call it a day. So, Tamwyn would nod his head toward him and smile softly before leading her toward it. In the end she would end up in the forest, and he would end up there with her, freezing his ass off but happy regardless because he was with her.

She had only managed to pull the unconscious man a couple of feet before she noticed Tamwyn. Standing up she would smile at her lover and attempt to explain herself. “I tried to move him, he was just. . . heavy.” She watched with amusement as Tamwyn dragged the offending man out the door by his foot. It was no less than he deserved and she would turn and head back inside, confident that Tamwyn had it handled. She made a mental note move them before zapping them next time as she walked back through the crowd trying to avoid having anyone touch her. There were a few more minor problems throughout the night, mostly the result of too much drinking and easily solved by a glare and pointing at the door.

When the bar finally closed for the night Yenn would breathe a sigh of relief. The bar staff had all begun cleaning up from the night's merriment and that was not a job Yenn had any intention of helping with. She was happy that she’d managed to make it through a whole mission without getting sick and she didn’t feel like pushing her luck by cleaning up the sticky god-knows-what that was on every available surface. She would place her hand in Tamwyn’s as they made their way home, feeling at ease with him touching her. She was tired and desperately wanted to sleep, and maybe this time she’d even stay sleeping in their bed.
