Well, he was partially sucsessful at least, but...well while his teammate wasn't showing it on the outside, he could see on the inside thanks to his eyes that he had struck a nerve, a very deep nerve. But he had entered Clan Leader Mode, and if he were to drop that things might get worse then what was about to come. Satowa would help Ashi gather his things, then escort him to the gate, giving Chika a glance that said they'd be talking later. Chika wouldn't drop his Dojutsu though, instead watching Ashi as he left.
Once he had left, Chika finally let down his guard. "God damn it Ashitaka." He could have dealt with that situation better, but he couldn't think of a better way to end it. He was still a teen, and Ashitaka a pre-teen. Making his way back to the office, he'd start to think of how he was going to deal with the fallout. He had just threatened another Clan leader, which could cause more civil unrest within the clans. He'd have to write a letter to Ashi about how he-
Chika was engrossed enough in his thoughts he had failed to realize his sister had willingly taken advantage of the Byakugan blind spot and snuck up on him, slapping him across the cheek.
"You dumbass sibling, you just made a dutch wife look smarter then the entire clan. How are you going to fix this now?"
"Satowa, I know what I did was reckless beyond hell, but I need to look out for all of us, even if it means reminding people in a harsh manner. I'm already thinking of ways to fix this, or at the very least prevent things from getting too out of hand."
"You better." She'd turn back to the compound in a huff.
"I need to go write a letter now. You can have mother for the rest of the day." And he'd go to do just that, write and send a letter about how Ashi was not banned and that...well it was wrong to threaten such drastic action. But would have to wait a little bit, he needed to fix mother.
