The two would finish their meal in short order. Ei was a notoriously slow eater, taking her time with food, but even then it wouldn’t take too long. After the last piece of sushi was eaten off her plate and the last piece of salmon roe was picked up with her chopsticks (she ate a frustratingly large number of them like this, individually with chopsticks) she would be finished and satisfied. The meal had been perfect. Luxurious in quality and in an incredibly prestigious place. The atmosphere, with just the two of them on these pillows with the wooden table between the two of them was perfect. The dango that was offered to her would just be the sweet finish to the meal, and once it was stuck out to her, balanced impressively on his fingertip, Ei would accept the gift and finish off the last dango. It would be popped into her mouth, pulled off the stick and gently chewed at and enjoyed. One was exactly enough for her, who didn’t have a high tolerance for too many sweets in a row.

“Somewhere else?” The sweetness of the dango was still fresh in her mouth. She was surprised, already impressed at what had happened so far. The idea that there would be more had never crossed her mind. With the surprise priming her, the sweet little comment on her beauty would send a slight flush across her cheeks.

Ei didn’t even want to look at the act of their meals being paid for. She was sure it was outrageously expensive, and just knowing that made her feel a bit guilty. Once it was all paid for and Azuma gave the signal she would get up, taking his offered hand to stand and then holding onto it as they both left. The act of everyone’s eyes being on them would make her shrink a bit, that same flush returning to her cheeks. It was something foreign to her, even with how much she dressed herself up like this.

A simple nod and smile is all she'd get in response to her question of somewhere else, him not wanting to blow the surprise before hand by letting her know where--or what--really. He would take notice of the blush on her face...it only made her cuter in his eyes. Azuma could feel the abnormal warmth of Ei's hand when she placed it in his, and continued to savor the feeling as the two would exit the expensive restaurant--most of the room's eyes on them as they did.

Azuma would lead his date back to the streets of Suna, and head in a direction that would eventually lead towards the walls surrounding the village. At some point he'd finally let go of her hand, and in place of holding hands, the taller Shinobi offered his arm, elbow out, for her to hold onto as they walked. "Ya'know....I could really get used to this." he's say, looking down to the ground a bit in front of them as they walked. But he was smiling, not looking sorrowful. "...I wanna be a great man some day...and every great man needs an even greater woman by his side..." he'd go on saying, a bit quiet, but clearly--no falter in his tone, speaking from the heart with no filter.

He looked up, eyes going to the night sky above. The clouds from earlier had mostly cleared, and the night sky was filled with stars--a moon with only a sliver gone from it due to being a couple days past a full moon. "...Maybe one day...I'll lead this village...and make it so much more then it currently is...but I can't do it without you, Ei-chan...." he  said, eyes shifting over to look at her beside him, smiling to the woman.

It'd be some time, enough for them to have a conversation if need be, before the couple would reach the edge of the village...with little warning the man would scoop her up in his arms, an arm under her knees, the other around her upper shoulders...he gave her just a bit of a squeeze as a hug like this--and give her the chance to hold on as she'd know by now what came next. What else did he do this for, but to aid her in vertical movement without her having to exert herself to do it. With some well placed steps, he'd speed up the wall with her in bursts, leaps from each step, before they popped out over the top of the wall, and landed gracefully. He'd continue to hold her for a moment, stepping up towards the edge of the wall but not too close, looking out over the desert. After a moment of simply enjoying the close feeling of holding the stunning woman bridal style, he'd carefully let her down beside him--but he kept an arm around her, gently curled around the lower arch of her back.

"I have a surprise for you...well...a couple...but the other can wait a minute." he said in the man's smooth confident tone, his eyes focused on her. With one hand, the one not behind her, the man formed a single handed Dragon hand seal. He'd begin to charge electrical energy into his hand, a very small amount, before aiming his hand upwards. It fired up, and rose about 50 meters into the air, its height added to by their position along the tall walls of the village. Once it hit its maxiumum height, it burst--a simple Lightning Release: Lightning Signal Fire. Azuma would turn towards the way over the desert...off in the distance was a small neighboring village--one Azuma had recently saved from an attack, with some help. "I had some friends help me set something up..." is all he'd say as he watched that direction, hoping she'd look too. Even if she didn't--she likely would when what happened next came..

From the village in the distance--5 fiery streaks shot up into the air, an array of colors trailing behind each one. With a pop and bright shine of light, they exploded, presenting an elegant shape sprouting from the epicenter--before lighting up in a small secondary bursts. Fireworks...a personal show just for them. This would continue, the echos of the first ones finally reaching their ears a while after becoming visible, due to being a number of kilometers out. But the show went on, one after another, some in unison--some staggered...different shapes, bursts, effects, colors--of various intensities, power, or beauty firing off in the distance.

Azuma would turn to look at her, a subtle smile on his features, as he leaned down, gently placing his forehead against the top/side of her head--if she turned towards him, they'd be forehead too forehead, and this is what he sort of hoped she'd do. He stayed quiet, simply shutting his eyes--giving the moment time to savor the flavor...peace...feeling wanted. Or whatever grab-bag of emotions one could pluck from either of them in this moment.

She couldn’t help but laugh at his musing. It was cute. Azuma clearly had dreams, high up and above what she could imagine for the future. Someone so unambitious as Ei couldn’t relate towards dreaming towards leading the village. It seemed almost impossible to imagine either of them in a position like that. Already she felt like she barely deserved the position of Jounin. Still, holding his arm like this as they walked throughout the village, she couldn’t help but believe him a little bit.

“Maybe one day, Azuma…. Maybe one day.”

He would scoop her up again, sweeping her off her feet for what was the second time today. She was beginning to get used to it, but still it was without any warning. She would settle into his arms, making herself comfortable without any complaints in his arms. If anything, at least getting used to being held in his arms allowed her to better trust him. She knew better than to think that she might be dropped now, and she could relax without worrying even as he walked up walls. Once she was set down on the rooftop, a place where she was being carried to more and more often as of late, she would settle down again.

“You’re full of surprises, Azuma.” She would watch as he formed the Dragon seal, curious for a moment. With his hand raised into the air Azuma let out a blast of raiton into the air. It was similar to what he had shown her on that embarrassing night where they were both drunk, although with a lesser intensity. Unlike that night it would just be a signal flare, a sign of what would be to come.

Fireworks would shoot up, blasting out from across the village. Her eyes would immediately light up, enraptured in the show. Ei would go silent, watching the show that went on. Slowly she would lean against him, still holding onto his arm as he leaned back against her.

He'd remain quiet, the colors of the firework's light softly reflected by their skin with each intense flash and burn, him giving her time to soak in what he'd set up. Not like it was easy, but the neighboring village was happy to help out one of the men who'd recently saved them from attack. He simply kept his head gently leaned against her's, his arm around her softly squeezing the woman. A beautiful moment shared in silence...

But the silence wouldn't last, not forever, as the show went on Azuma slipped something from up his sleeve with his free hand, and finally the other hand around her slipped back from about her. "...Ei." was all he'd say quietly to try to get her attention, him leaning slightly back but still keeping close, the two still in each other's personal space, him looking to her eyes and awaiting for her to look back at him.

Once she would, he'd reach up without a word, and a rather beautiful but subtle necklace would be slipped over her head, and hung about the woman's neck, letting the blue crystal pendant gently come to rest on her chest. He took a slightly nervous breath, but his words remained clear. "...That necklace is all I have left from my mother...she died during the plague..." he'd explain to her quietly, letting her know what it meant to him...that it wasn't just something he picked up at the store earlier in the day, but an item that held sentimental value for Azuma. He'd shut his eyes as she leaned his forehead softly against her's again, about now the fireworks in the distance was fizzling out, a few more stray shots fired up and bursting, before the thunderous echo seized to cross the Desert.

His arms both slipped around her, embracing the woman softly. "...I know its a big thing to ask...but." he'd open his eyes, trying to look into her eyes. "I recently moved...and well...Ei, will you...move in with me? Get you out of your current place...and come stay with me?" he'd ask, now the nervousness had come to his voice, and he was even blushing after asking her something so bold to ask so quickly.

The warmth of the fireworks would emanate down to her, even as she was so far away from them. Or perhaps it was the warmth of standing next to Azuma? Even though he was nothing but cold to her, it was a certain feeling she had. Part of the scene that she was painting here, both necessary and desired. It had a certain sort of beauty, like liquid paints swirling together. When two or three were mixed, but not fully. Little swirls of each color were still visible, and at the center the slow merge of oils and pigments. It was hers, to be spread about as she wished, and they were both the canvas. Azuma would be her unwitting painter, brush in hand even if he wasn’t aware of it.

But the swirling of paints in silence wouldn’t last. Azuma would break it, intent on striking again. The night was his to do as he pleased, even if it was Ei who was controlling the course here. He insisted on hammering the gap, surprising here even when she thought it would be impossible to do so. Again, he would catch her off guard. Although it wasn’t the act of a gesture, but the specific gesture itself. She would look at him, into his eyes. The necklace that he retrieved would be placed comfortably around her neck, with Ei tilting her head up over so slightly to allow it. The meaning behind it though was what caught her by surprise. It was his mother’s. Another strong gesture. She wouldn’t be able to respond, for a variety of reasons, but Ei would still nod. She understood, from the perspective of the listener.

The embrace would come, and she would return it. Her arms would squeeze around him, although not as strong as his grip would be around her. The next thing that came to her, another gift from him, would be the crescendo.

“Move in?” It legitimately caught her off guard. So fast? She had promised herself it would be slower, but it seemed that Azuma had other plans. Another piece of control wrested from her. It seemed that he had ideas of his own for this. Bold plans. Extremely bold. The idea of moving in together carried interesting and obvious implications, ones which she almost wanted to teasingly chastise him for. And she would in time. Not now, while the moment was still so warm.

“I… You’re bold, Azuma. I never would have thought I’d be asked that after the first date…” She would let out a little bit of a chuckle, laughing at herself. It was a joke. Teasing. “I… How could I refuse? I’d love to.”
