A simple nod and smile is all she'd get in response to her question of somewhere else, him not wanting to blow the surprise before hand by letting her know where--or what--really. He would take notice of the blush on her face...it only made her cuter in his eyes. Azuma could feel the abnormal warmth of Ei's hand when she placed it in his, and continued to savor the feeling as the two would exit the expensive restaurant--most of the room's eyes on them as they did.
Azuma would lead his date back to the streets of Suna, and head in a direction that would eventually lead towards the walls surrounding the village. At some point he'd finally let go of her hand, and in place of holding hands, the taller Shinobi offered his arm, elbow out, for her to hold onto as they walked. "Ya'know....I could really get used to this." he's say, looking down to the ground a bit in front of them as they walked. But he was smiling, not looking sorrowful. "...I wanna be a great man some day...and every great man needs an even greater woman by his side..." he'd go on saying, a bit quiet, but clearly--no falter in his tone, speaking from the heart with no filter.
He looked up, eyes going to the night sky above. The clouds from earlier had mostly cleared, and the night sky was filled with stars--a moon with only a sliver gone from it due to being a couple days past a full moon. "...Maybe one day...I'll lead this village...and make it so much more then it currently is...but I can't do it without you, Ei-chan...." he said, eyes shifting over to look at her beside him, smiling to the woman.
It'd be some time, enough for them to have a conversation if need be, before the couple would reach the edge of the village...with little warning the man would scoop her up in his arms, an arm under her knees, the other around her upper shoulders...he gave her just a bit of a squeeze as a hug like this--and give her the chance to hold on as she'd know by now what came next. What else did he do this for, but to aid her in vertical movement without her having to exert herself to do it. With some well placed steps, he'd speed up the wall with her in bursts, leaps from each step, before they popped out over the top of the wall, and landed gracefully. He'd continue to hold her for a moment, stepping up towards the edge of the wall but not too close, looking out over the desert. After a moment of simply enjoying the close feeling of holding the stunning woman bridal style, he'd carefully let her down beside him--but he kept an arm around her, gently curled around the lower arch of her back.
"I have a surprise for you...well...a couple...but the other can wait a minute." he said in the man's smooth confident tone, his eyes focused on her. With one hand, the one not behind her, the man formed a single handed Dragon hand seal. He'd begin to charge electrical energy into his hand, a very small amount, before aiming his hand upwards. It fired up, and rose about 50 meters into the air, its height added to by their position along the tall walls of the village. Once it hit its maxiumum height, it burst--a simple Lightning Release: Lightning Signal Fire. Azuma would turn towards the way over the desert...off in the distance was a small neighboring village--one Azuma had recently saved from an attack, with some help. "I had some friends help me set something up..." is all he'd say as he watched that direction, hoping she'd look too. Even if she didn't--she likely would when what happened next came..
From the village in the distance--5 fiery streaks shot up into the air, an array of colors trailing behind each one. With a pop and bright shine of light, they exploded, presenting an elegant shape sprouting from the epicenter--before lighting up in a small secondary bursts. Fireworks...a personal show just for them. This would continue, the echos of the first ones finally reaching their ears a while after becoming visible, due to being a number of kilometers out. But the show went on, one after another, some in unison--some staggered...different shapes, bursts, effects, colors--of various intensities, power, or beauty firing off in the distance.
Azuma would turn to look at her, a subtle smile on his features, as he leaned down, gently placing his forehead against the top/side of her head--if she turned towards him, they'd be forehead too forehead, and this is what he sort of hoped she'd do. He stayed quiet, simply shutting his eyes--giving the moment time to savor the flavor...peace...feeling wanted. Or whatever grab-bag of emotions one could pluck from either of them in this moment.
