3 Posts--A Sundial

Tsukiyo had made her way from the heart of Konoha, out to the Third Training Grounds--an icon of the Leaf, known for its flat land--open areas and tree lined zones--shallow clear river--and fitting for a training grounds called the 'Third', three Wooden posts. Chewed up from years of training and target practice. There would even be a stray kunai embedded in one, forgotten by its owner. She took a few deep breathes, even the walk out here had tuckered her out some. But she pressed on and would come to the river, knelling beside it.

The Silver Wolf would cup the water, getting a thin layer of water in her palms, before splashing her face--shaking off the water afterwards for a quick air dry. She sighed, standing up. It was time to do what she came out here to do...it'd been years since she had to perform jutsu, she was rusty--she needed practice. The woman has a set of jutsu she'd created in the past in mind, but it'd been so long she frankly forgot how to perform them, at least perfectly. Odd for a woman of her intellect, but this would make recalling them much easier.

She'd step over to the three wooden posts--noticing the kunai. Perfect...she'd snag the Kunai, holding it within her hand. "This will save me the ink." she'd say. She'd take the kunai and gently slice her finger, letting it draw blood. She'd stick the kunai into the ground and bring the now lightly bleeding finger to her forehead. She'd mark herself with a Diamond upon her forehead. She'd nod as her hand dropped.

"First, the Curse..."

She'd perform a string of hand seals...they was slow, her fingers barely wished to contort themselves into these patterns. It sort of frustrated her...but she pressed on, a good eight solid seconds of forming hand seals. She needed to work on this...either way, her chakra molded, and would flow within her. This Earth Chakra would bolster her body, enhancing it, toughening her skin and reinforcing her entire life force. This took longer then normal to activate, she was really rusty, but the jutsu came to her, and would grant her its abilities. She would again take the old Kunai from before, pricking her skin with a bit more force this time to cause her finger to bleed. She needed more blood for the next Fuuinjutsu...

She took a breath. She was already fatiguing. Not cool. Her brain was mighty, but her body was feeble at best. But she knew she had enhanced an aspect of her to improve her physical conditions. She'd reach up once more, and slowly trace upon her forehead, carefully marking each line...in due time she'd become smoother and quicker with this, but for now she was careful. The woman hadn't used this in years. She didn't need to.

"Now...The Gift."

She would perform hand signs, this time in reverse order as the last. She'd hold her hands against her chest, from an outsider's perspective...she was fondling her bust...but in reality she was bringing chakra from within. Or, trying to. This fizzled out, and she dropped to her knees, breath lost. She panted, wincing. This was harder then she expected...the woman needed training, fast.

The woman waited, even deactivating the first step of this process. She needed more energy. She'd eventually find it after a resting period. She stood once more, and performed the required first jutsu. Like the first time, it went off without a hitch, maybe even better then last time. She felt confident, and formed the hand seals in reverse order. It took a long time, her hands like snails. She pressed her hands to her chest again, charging chakra into the seal. This lit up the seal a moment, as well as the natural markings on her cheeks--all flashing a quick pinkish red like her eyes. These faded, and chakra was pulled from within, spreading around her, enhancing her body even further.

Now...Now she felt like she could take a hit. She'd pick up the Kunai one more time...she attempt to cut her finger, and the somewhat dull blade just glided right over her skin--ineffective. She smiled, and let this all reactivate, as to not tire herself out. With a toss, the Kunai struck the wooden post she had found it in, barely catching into the side of it...her aim--it was crap. She scratched her head before shrugging, turning--and making her way back home...that was all she could manage.
