Akame pushed through the rough terrain, utilizing her natural coordination to maneuver the shortcut she was taking across the Land of Lightning. She was moving at a decent clip, tapping into her Nature Clan power to fuel her speed across the more barren landscape of the Land of Lightning. Rocks and mountains are all that there was, after all. The ANBU had gotten a message from the village from a bird on the way back from her recent mission, requesting that she instead take up another one while she was outside the village.
Word on a drug shipment had gotten to the village where what was believed to be one of the inner circle of the local drug ring is supposedly overseeing its shipping personally. That only happened when there was something big and valuable coming into the country, likely a good amount of contraband in the form of drugs and cash. The name of this particular kingpin was Naoki, a known practitioner of the Strong Fist. He was well regarded in the underground as one of the most capable among their number. Definitely not someone to try and kill if you were a shinobi with little experience in assassination.
Akame couldn't help but wonder if this was some sort of test for her though. Sent on a couple easy missions and then she gets this out of the blue. It was the type of assignment she had excelled at before her illness and the prospect of trying her hand at it was exciting. In fact, she could tell even now that her old abilities were beginning to return. She still couldn't run as fast as she had previously been able to, but the fluidity with which she moved her body... that had definitely improved. Perhaps it was just her knocking the rust off, but she believed it to be closer to her finally focusing in on something she knew she could do but that would be difficult. No more warm ups.
