Shedding of Skin [Solo]

Kiyoshi bore the scroll on his back this morning. It was time for the next step of Satori's training; the pup had already gone through the intensive Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu training during his other training session, and now this morning it was time for him to begin on the Kuchiyose. Satori sat, his legs crossed beneath him as he waited patiently while his father came forward before removing the scroll and setting it down with a loud thud in the sand. Falling down into a seated position after him as he offered the young man a smirk.

"Ready, pup?"

Satori simply nodded once in reply, causing Kiyoshi to grunt before he leaned back a bit so his palms would rest in the sand behind him.

"You already know the details of the technique, so I won't bother with that. Instead let's talk about the contract itself," as Kiyoshi stated this, Satori nodded once in agreement. Kiyoshi casually laid the scroll on its side before unrolling it slowly, revealing the interior where multiple slots had been filled with a bloody handprint. The contract was explained fully in kanji running down the side, and was clear, but Kiyoshi voiced it anyway.

"Every summoning requires that you offer a sacrifice of food to the lion you summon. This can be the opponent you're summoning them to kill, but if you fail you still owe them a meal. Similarly, an offering of blood is required as a catalyst to summon the lion," Satori nodded once before glancing along the rules. As he'd expected there was no rule that stated the animal companion had to fight for them, either.

Glancing back to his father, Kiyoshi grinned.

"The fun part is, if you want to summon any of the lions formally for combat, you must show them you're worthy of their strength," he stated idly, leaning back and crossing his ankles idly.

"So, if you summon say, Kuvera, and you want her to fight for you then you must have beaten her in battle first. Or at least earned her respect in a battle," as he clarified this, Satori nodded once in understanding before his mind went over the many lions in the tribe that he knew. After several long moments, he smiled and pushed himself slowly to his feet as he moved closer and allowed once claw to extend from his palm.

Kiyoshi said nothing as his son slit his hand open, spreading the fresh crimson liquid over the hand before pressing it into the open circle. He then wrote his name in Kanji underneath it, before straightening slowly, Kiyoshi was about to call for Raika to mend the damage: when he blinked as he saw steam rising from the slit. His eyes narrowed slowly on Satori whom idly lowered his bloody hand and contemplated who he was going to summon.

After a few slow moments, he rose up and turned.

"It doesn't matter who I summon first, right?" he inquired idly, causing his father to blink a few times before his head tilted slowly to the side.

"I suppose," he stated, tone uncertain for the first time. This was due to the fact that Satori seemed different. There had only been a few weeks jump in time from his last training session with the young man, and now, but something about Satori felt different. The young man felt calmer, more in control as his hands flexed a few times before slamming his palm into the ground.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu!

The explosion of chakra shifted the area as smoke filled the space, before slowly as it began to clear, to Kiyoshi's utter amazement: There stood Rokumaru. The massive black lion towered over those around him, and eyes slowly lowered to focus on Satori whom looked up at him with an impassive expression as his chakra pulsed within his palm, the blood having incinerated from the offering as he tilted his head slowly and grinned.

"Rokumaru-sama," he stated simply, inclining his head to the great black lion whose one eye blinked down at him in curiosity and bemusement. Kiyoshi was stunned. He hadn't expected the pup to summon the head of the lion tribe. Hadn't he heard him clearly? If he wanted to summon Rokumaru he had to beat the lion first. Kiyoshi had barely managed such, he'd nearly lost his arm in the process.

The great lion looked from Satori, toward Kiyoshi, and at the mans confused expression decided there was no point asking him. Instead, his eye lowered to stare down at Satori whom straightened and clasped his hands behind his back.

"Satori. Did you summon me? Do you know what that means?" the great beast rumbled simply, head tilting slightly to the side as he examined him. Unlike Kiyoshi, Rokumaru was a simple creature. He saw no need to be shocked over the action, and only intended to follow the rituals, it was as simple as that to the beast.

Satori simply nodded his head once.

"What are your terms, Rokumaru-same?" he asked simply, causing the lion to blink once with a low rumble before straightening.

"No weapons or tools, only the body and chakra. Beyond that there are no rules. Defeat is measured by admitting loss or being rendered unconscious," as the great beast explained, he watched as Satori already began to idly remove items from his person. Stripping off his clothing, pouches, and holsters as his gaze focused on the great black lion before nodding once in approval.

"Done," he stated bluntly, causing Rokumaru to rumble in approval before straightening and slowly lowering himself to all fours as he stared down into the eyes of the feral young man whom cracked his knuckles once, before slowly straightening and looking up toward the great beast, whom rumbled once in approval and awaited the call.

After several moments, Kiyoshi finally spoke up in a bemused tone. "Begin."

Instantly, chakra pulsed through both Rokumaru and Satori. He'd been practicing his chakra control ever since mastering his chakra enhanced strength. Now, it was time to put the techniques to work, and as his chakra exploded out from him he grinned in a feral smile at Rokumaru whom matched the grin. He didn't know what the brat had in mind, but he was eager to see if he could do better than Kiyoshi had at his age.

Chakra Enhanced Strength v2. Evasion. Ability Boost. Impenetrable Wall. Flow Acceleration.

Rokumaru didn't have a chance. Satori disappeared and re-appeared inches in front of his face causing the Lion's eyes to bug in surprise, his mouth opened to release blue flames in defense, too slow. The impact of the fist smashed into the beasts jaw with such force that he went skidding backward along the ground, digging up the sands and sending him bouncing through the terrain as Kiyoshi's eyes widened in complete and utter shock while the boy landed with a dull thud on the ground.

Slowly relaxing his body as he flexed his hands a few times. Maintaining the even chakra control throughout his entire body was difficult, but manageable. A smile formed on his lips before his gaze then trailed toward where the Lion was still laying, groaning and struggling to rise back to his feet as Satori flickered from existence once more and landed on top of the lion as it tried to rise. Pulling back a fist, and smashing it into the beast's stomach.

The explosion sent dust flying upward from the shockwave and Satori slowly straightened, standing on top of the beast as his chakra flickered around his body as his head slowly tilted to the side. Rokumaru and he were now deep within a large crater in the training grounds.

"I win," he stated bluntly, with no response from the unconscious lion as he grunted and fell with a low thud as his chakra began to fade from his body. It was tiring, but he'd be able to maintain that state for quite a while if he had too. He'd over-estimated the lion. If he wanted to blitz opponents he could cut back on the enhanced durability and strength likely, using the raw speed and barraging the target.

Lifting a hand up and holding his chin in thought he walked toward a stunned Kiyoshi.

Satori finally relaxed after he halted in front of his father, offering a smile as his chakra fluctuated through his hands.

"I thought I'd need to use Genjutsu or Fuuinjutsu as well, but I guess it works out," he stated idly with a low hum of thought. Stretching his arms over his head before he interlaced his fingers and popped the joints slowly. Focusing on Kiyoshi whom was staring at him in shock, the boy offered a single grin in reply.

"I get the right to challenge you as head now too, father, though not right now," his chakra was low, and he wasn't certain he wanted the responsibility just yet either. So, instead, he turned and began heading toward the exit of the training area as Rokumaru slowly came to. A low groan filling his chest as the beast rolled over and slowly looked toward Satori exiting the area, and Kiyoshi staring at first his son, then Rokumaru himself.

After a few moments, Rokumaru released a deep laugh.

"He's stronger than you, Kiyo. Much stronger," he stated simply as he slowly lowered himself into a resting position, causing Kiyoshi to make a face of annoyance, but he couldn't refute the statement. He'd been proud of his son, he still was, but being overcome so quickly was still a bit stinging. Still...

Kiyoshi smiled.

"I'm proud of him," he stated simply, glancing up as Satori exited the training grounds. Satisfied with his progress. Now it was time to begin his normal training; after a bite to eat.
